Nutritional medicine uses primarily food to influence the functioning of the body. What, how, and when we eat can affect how we feel everyday, and how well our body operates.
Nutrients are involved in nearly every chemical reaction in the body. Consequently, they help regulate many body systems and functions such as metabolism, hormones, neurotransmitters, muscles and bones, detoxification, and immunity.
Subtle nutrient deficiencies can occur before showing up in any blood or urine tests – if they continue without correction, chronic, degenerative diseases may develop.
We ask that you keep a 4 day food diary prior to your visit so we can assess what nutrients may be lacking ,or if portion control, timing, ratio of carbohydrates/ proteins/fats etc needs attention.
